To offer a cost effective, efficient and reliable breakdown service in the Western Cape & Surrounds. To try and always satisfy our customers needs as far as time delays and situation or area of breakdown is concerned.
History
Established in 1976 on the Cape Flats.
Started in Mitchell's plain and worked long, hard hours, initially starting with 1 truck. They have now built a fleet of late model tow vehicles and currently operate from Ottery Youth Centre. This is a safe and secure storage area for vehicles.

Towing Resources
All vehicles are equipped with hydraulic hoist and get despatched via a GPS system. Most drivers can also be contacted by cellphone. As a PDI company, they have put in place, structures for training & development of staff. Their workforce has a 'can do' approach in all aspects of their work. They are one of the few companies that has kept their workforce stable in promoting and keeping longterm relationships with their staff.
Contracts
Galaxy Breakdown Services has over the years tried to break away from the stigma associated with this industry, they therefore set out to get contract work with players in the industry. Amongst their contracts are the Automobile Association, South African Police Services, Cape Ambulance and Rescue Services, City of Cape Town, Barons Claremont and various motor corporate bodies.
Sponsorship
Due to their success, Galaxy Breakdown Service has been sponsoring local welfare organisations. They have also for the past 5 years started feeding the homeless on the Cape Flats, this is an ongoing scheme. They offer discount rates to pensioners.
